SHIT HAPPENS INCORPORATED... (AKA ...S.H.I) a High Energy Rock Band based in
Albuquerque, NM. Consisting of 4 members ... Tim Mercy - Lead
Vocals/Guitar ... Fito "The Tick" Garza - Bass guitar and BU Vocals ...
"Ex Porn Star" Rene Ramos - Drums and BU Vocals (Replaced Phil Miranda
in August of 08) ... David "DaveSchlager" Baca - Lead Guitar (Replaced
Frank Armenta in January of 09)... S.H.I. has been playing
the circuit in New Mexico since 2001. The band has
opened for national acts Dokken (twice), Foghat, Los Lonely
Boys, Bullet Boys Krash Karma and LA Guns.
Shit Happens roots hail from New Mexico with the exception of Rene Ramos a true blue born Texan from Abilene. The seeds and culture of the Land of Enchantment have spawned an underground movement of Hispanic musicians from every corner of the 48th State! A melting Pot of Sound if you will!! A boom of ambitious musicians fuel the Duke City's Rock Revolution! A sound so familiar yet unique in its own form!
While experiencing a S.H.I. show you cannot help but to be drawn into the party. Playing the Fire & Ice Bike Rally since 2003 Shit Happens 1st rally appearance was held at the Sail Fish Saloon, sponsored by Coors Light. Since then Shit Happens Inc. has played many Rallies including a steady string of special events. Monsters of Mock, 05 Bud True Music's Battle of the Bands held in historical downtown Albuquerque at the Launchpad. 02, 03, 04, and 05 Blarney Bashes sponsored by 94 Rock and Coors light.
These local rock rebels forged their being . . . To date they remain a solid pillar in Albuquerque's thriving music scene.
Tim Mercy a seasoned musician singer songwriter has been at it since the ripe young age of 15. Former bands (Unstoppable, Pulse, Beyond Reality and Down on Mercy) paralyzes small animals with his vocal range from a growl to a shattering scream. Tim was chosen for the Ultimate Band 2 Vocalist competition sponsored by "104.7 The Edge Radio". His band "POSSESS and CONCEAL" was managed by Dex from the Buck & Dex morning show. Fito Garza is a veteran and real crowd pleaser the backbone of S.H.I. since the early days when the band formed in 1991. He is the only member remaining from the original High School lineup. Rene Ramos brings a true energy and tightness to Shit Happens ... former drummer to local talents (Who'z ur Daddy and Phat Jasper) His lavishing beats thump like a human clock!! David Baca current member of local Doom Metal Band Skulldron and former original lead guitarist from (Traveler in Pain) a sister band of S.H.I., Dave wails on his 6 string axe with an enormous burst of color and sound that completes the bands branded style!!! If any band in the southwestern U.S. deserves the title, "Party Band", it would undoubtedly be "SHIT HAPPENS INC."!!!!! "With the energy these 4 souls release in a 45 minute set they could quite possibly supply power to a small city... Definitely check out these Bad Boys of Burque! You wont be disappointed!!!
